Our Customers…
Currently Values into Action provides services and supports to 17 individuals (as of December 2005).  Each person is unique and so their supports reflect their own take on life. Some examples..
 
….J. lives in her own apartment in the Northeast section of Philadelphia.  Values into Action  helped her lease this apartment within 30 days of her finding it. Values into Action recruited several qualified candidates and assisted J. with interviewing and hiring 2 of them to act as her personal assistants 15-20 hours a week.  These are people who will help her cook, clean and be a companion, especially as she finds places to hang out in her new neighborhood.
 
… Values into Action assisted M. in finding her own apartment in Ardmore, Montgomery County.  She recruited 2 of the 3 people Values into Action hired to be her personal assistants who help her keep her home clean, have taught her how to get back and forth from work at a nearby supermarket, take her to medical appointments and stand by her through some tough personal times
 
…R. moved into her own home in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, after Values into Action assisted with finding rental properties and co-signing the lease.  After Values into Action recruited competent candidates, she hired 4 of them who now help her
with significant medical and psychiatric challenges in addition to assisting her with managing her home and finances.
 
…P. already had her own home but Values into Action helped her get her name on the lease.  She recruited her personal assistants who Values into Action then hired to help her with all of her physical needs, assist her with managing her home and day to day routines including going to work at Wal-Mart, going to church and other activities.
 
…Having lived in a psychiatric hospital for over 3 months, S. and his parents chose Values into Action.  With his leadership and direction we helped S. find a duplex in his “old” neighborhood in Fox Chase.  With Values into Action’s assistance, he has hired 6 personal assistants who help him manage his home and daily routine, assist him with making and keeping appointments and help him be safe 24/7.
 
…A. lives at home with her mom and two sisters.  Values into Action recruited a few potential candidates and she and her mom hired one of them to work with her in her home, helping her get ready to move into her own place.  She goes shopping for groceries, prepares meals, cleans up and is learning to manage a household.
 
…J. is a senior in high school.  A Values into Action associate helped her find a volunteer position at a local nursing home and is going with her until she gets comfortable with the routine.
 
…A. lives with his sister.  With Values into Action’s assistance, they have hired one person to help him plan activities with his girlfriend and accompany him to places and events in his community.
