Who we are…
Created in the spring of 2005 by Lynne Seagle, Paul Saulino, and Marian Frattarola-Saulino, Values Into Action is a community of people who share the same vision: full civil rights and citizenship for all. Our purpose as an organization is to organize a system of supports from which people with disabilities and their chosen allies can have the highest level of choice and control.

Having worked together operating “programs” such as small and large group homes and day programs, and after years of running these programs successfully according to traditional compliance measures such as licensing and quality improvement standards, they came to the realization that what matters most to people with disabilities and their allies has little to do with those standards. And despite all of the work going into maintaining those programs, people with disabilities were still fighting for their basic rights as citizens and human beings. Fighting for things like deciding where they live, and who they live with; being part of the community at large, working, recreating and contributing, and having stable and loving relationships outside of the service system.
